How do I locate a Medicare Advantage coverage policy referenced in the letter I received from Humana?
ANSWER: Type the 4-digit Policy Number contained in the letter you received, in the Search by Keyword or Policy Number (Box number 1).

When I select a coverage policy, a window pops up and asks me to accept something. What is that?
ANSWER: The prompt includes important information regarding the policies you are about to review. Please review the information. Select ‘OK’ if you accept.

My search returned multiple coverage policies. How do I know which coverage policy is correct?
ANSWER:If you have a Humana Medicare Advantage (MA) plan, the medical coverage policy name will have “Medicare Advantage” at the end of the coverage policy name. All other coverage policies pertain to commercial plans or are pharmacy related. You can also check the 4-digit policy number at the bottom of your letter to make sure that it matches the policy in the search results.

If I have questions about Humana’s coverage policies, is there a telephone number that I can call to speak with a representative who can help?
ANSWER: Yes. Call a Humana customer service representative using the telephone number on the back of your Humana ID card.

How do I use the MCG Link?
ANSWER:Once you review and agree to the terms of service, enter your first and last name in the fields provided, select that you are a member, select the method easiest for you to receive your access code. Once received, enter your access code.

How do I find the MCG reference in my letter?
ANSWER: The index of guidelines will display. To select the correct category, you will need the letter sent to you by Humana. Select the guideline from this legend:

    • ISC = Inpatient and Surgical Care Guidelines
    • GRG – General Recovery Guidelines
    • AC = Ambulatory Care Guidelines
    • B = Behavioral Health Guidelines
  • Click the Blue arrow next to the guideline category you need,
  • On your keyboard, select CONTROL + F
  • A search box will appear in the upper right corner,
Type in the number of the guideline noted in your letter to view the guidelines referenced. For example; M-190

My MCG search revealed multiple sources, which one do I use?
ANSWER:Use the guideline reference number that matches what you entered in the search bar. There may be results that contain extra letters. You can disregard those results, Unless your letter contains a code with extra letters . For example; M-190-RRG, or M-190-HaH.
